Quite simply, as my wife recently said, about how to spread joy this holiday season...
"...one does not offer good wishes for oneself, but rather for the object if one's wishes. In other words, people, your own religious views are of absolutely no consequence in this instance. One wishes those whose religious observance is known a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Kwanza, Solstice, as appropriate. For those we don't know so well, wish them Happy Holidays. It's not a war on Christmas. It's not about you, it's about them. It's called manners."
