President Obama’s commencement address at The Ohio StateUniversity is a call to take citizenship seriously.

“Unfortunately, you’ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s at the root of all our problems.  They’ll warn that tyranny is always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices.”
If we cannot recover our faith in democratic government, the great American experiment may be in danger.  But when we accept the responsibilities of democratic citizenship anything is possible, together. Thanks for coming to Ohio Mr. President and daring us all to do better.
