Has Scott Brown Cast Off Any Pretense of Being Moderate?
One of the people I respect most in the world seems like she might be a Scott Brown supporter in Massachusetts, my home state.  So, I want to be very clear here.  Scott Brown has always seemed, from a distance, to be a moderate Republican and not part of the problem.

His recent decision to attack Elizabeth Warren because he can tell 'by looking at her' that she is not Native American (note: he has never suggested he has any evidence to support his claim, other than she does not look Native American)…this surprised me.  Then he double down on it, so we know it was not a weak moment.  This is his strategy.  He drives a pick-up truck and is a handsome man…but this is not leadership and nowhere near the prudence and moderation that made New England Republicans legendary leaders.

Politico, the newsletter for the Romney campaign, noted that Scott Brown is getting enormous contributions from the financial sector…not because he is a rising star or leader, but because Elizabeth Warren has built a reputation of intelligent actions to regulate the financial sector’s wild west (but let the taxpayers bail us out) approach to capitalism.  And she has done this in defense of the middle class who has suffered the most, lost their homes and jobs and pensions as a result of errors made by an elite who are powerful enough to insulate themselves from the punishment their business failures earned from the 'free market' they too loudly claims to love.

Here is what Politico said…

“Brown has already received more than $3.3 million from the finance, insurance and real estate industries this cycle, according to CRP, more than any other member of Congress or congressional candidate.  The cash is more a testament to the industry’s anxiety about Warren than a preference for Brown.”

Let Rachel walk you through the details on Scott Brown.  He is no moderate.  He is no leader.  Elizabeth Warren is the candidate interested and able to defend what makes America great: a thriving middle class.  I love my cousin like a sister and I hope I am wrong about her support for Scott Brown, because he is not the kind of leader we need in my home state or in our country.
