I am just starting to check out this new site, Mediate, and they have a story on Daily Kos doing a poll to see what we think about polls. You can see from my blog yesterday that the excellent analysis done at 538 takes this question very seriously, but it is probably worth hearing more on the place and value of polls, since they are omnipresent in our daily news and, as far as we can tell, they are central to the internal decision making within campaigns.
