538 used to be an independent site during the last presidential election, until is was purchased by the New York Times. It is still the best site for projecting elections. Lots of detail for any political junky. For non-junkies it is easy to navigate to get to only the information you are looking for!
This cartoon has nothing to do with the 538 site, but I just like it a lot...maybe it is best read as a commentary about my blogs as an illustration of adults saying the lamest things!
