The data shows illegal border crossing are way down and have been declining for years, immigrants commit less crime, and there is consensus in Congress that we need to invest in border security but not on the need to confiscate private property to build a wall in remote areas where other technology will work better. And yet, maybe there is a crisis at the border....
Who benefits when we focus on building a border wall (or not) in place of trying to tackle the more pressing and complicated challenges related to environmental degradation, drug addiction, and gun violence?
It is difficult to imagine how we will take two more year of this...
